While at the convention, they heard uplifting messages from several speakers, and were entertained by several different types of acts. The main focus of this convention was to choose the children’s daily, and Friday night entertainment for the 2015 and possibly 2016 Roosevelt County Fairs. Planning is underway and our Board will soon announce the acts that were chosen.

In early December, one Roosevelt County Fair Board member and the Fair Manager traveled to Las Vegas, NV where they attended the International Association of Fairs and Expos (IAFE) Convention. Roosevelt County Fair joined the association in the first quarter of 2014 and attended the convention for the first time. Attendees were also entertained by a few acts, including Old Dominion- an up and coming Country Music band, but the main focus for the convention was educational workshops. Both attendees are excited to take from the main message “Seeding Change” to add even more changes to the 2015 Roosevelt County Fair, which will take place July 29, 30, 31 and August 1 in Culbertson.

4-H and FFA members who are interested in showing market beef for the 2015 Fair will need to attend a weigh-in to start their project and register with the Fair. Dates and times for the market beef weigh-ins:

 Saturday, December 27th from 9-11 a.m @ Kirk Panasuk's - 1 mile south of Bainville

 Tuesday, December 30th from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. @ Wilbur Reid's - south of Poplar

 Questions?
